The Project

MoneyMe is a digital consumer credit business specialising in providing fast credit, via mobile. Recently listing on the ASX, MoneyMe has experienced strong growth due to thier advanced technology platform and customer centric approach.

Pre 2019 MoneyMe’s office and customer service centre was based in Sydney with their technical team in the Philippines. In order to maintain their growth trajectory and realise a vision to provide more onshore jobs, they saw an opportunity to relocate their core workforce to the Hunter. Additionally, the Hunter region offered MoneyMe with lower recruitment and employment costs, reduced staff turnover and a skilled and ready workforce, and was still located within close proximity to Sydney.

The Challenge

MoneyMe were seeking a new base in Lake Macquarie or Newcastle as part of the transition. They were struggling to find a flexible office space that allowed them to scale the team and build capacity whilst keeping overheads low. They were also concerned to ensure that productivity was not affected by the relocation.

This meant that it was important to move into a space that was fully operational, with a high standard of digital connectivity. Finding good suppliers and agents to assist them with the transition was also important.

Our Solution

In the time MoneyMe was using the Dashworks launchpad to grow, they secured circa $385 million, leading to a successful listing on the ASX in 2019.
Provided a short-term turnkey workspace to accommodate the rapid growth of their workforce.

We supported MoneyMe to move into Dashworks, a premier coworking space owned and managed by Dantia. This allowed MoneyMe to start operating from day one of the relocation and reduce loss in productivity. It provided them with scalability for their growing team, a short-term flexible lease and no set up costs giving MoneyMe time to grow their workforce and develop capacity in their new team as they continued to seek a long-term operational base.

Supported the workforce recruitment process.

In order to sustain the move MoneyMe needed to recruit local talent. Dantia made introductions to a leading local talent sourcing agency and provided salary recommendations and workforce insights to assist with the recruitment process.

Introduced MoneyMe to key local contacts and stakeholders

to create a smooth transition and new opportunities in the local market. With an understanding of MoneyMe’s vision for the relocation and specific needs, we were able to swiftly line up meetings and conversations with local suppliers and stakeholders to realise MoneyMe’s dynamic transition plans. We organised early introductions with key development stakeholders and property owners to identify real estate that would support their long term growth aspirations. In the time MoneyMe was using the Dashworks launchpad to grow, they secured circa $385 million, leading to a successful listing on the ASX in 2019.
