Imaginelle has cemented its position as Australia’s leading sustainable cosmetic and skincare manufacturer, formulating and manufacturing products for over 40 beauty brands nationwide. Their contributions to the local community have been significant, primarily through the diverse employment opportunities they’ve created.
Eight years since launching the business from the spare room at home, Will and Gabby’s team has grown to more than 25, comprised of cosmetic chemists, operations staff and university students.
“Our driver is creating opportunities for our team. It’s incredible to see our team expand and develop new innovative technologies in formulating and manufacturing skincare and beauty products at scale,” Gabby emphasised.
Driving Positive Change in the Cosmetic Industry
Their commitment to making a positive difference in the cosmetic industry motivates the founders to run their business successfully. They are dedicated to creating products that improve people’s health and well-being while striving to minimise their environmental impact.
“We’re also developing highly innovative formulations and new technology in the skincare space right here in Lake Macquarie that will no doubt have global reach and success once commercialised,” Will explained.

Imaginelle believes that Lake Macquarie is an ideal location for their operations.
“We have team members from Central Coast, Lake Mac, Port Stephens and Newcastle, so being in Cardiff is a perfect central location, and Lake Macquarie City Council has been great to deal with and very supportive of our company from the beginning,” emphasised Will.

Imaginelle’s commitment to the local community extends to its partnerships with local suppliers and businesses. They prioritise sourcing raw materials locally and collaborating with regional suppliers and services, contributing to the growth of the local economy.
“We always try to buy raw materials locally and use local trades/services. These are just a few of the many local suppliers we engage with day-to-day,” Gabby noted.
Plans for Expansion and Investment
Looking ahead, Will and Gabby have big plans to expand.
They intend to install world-class manufacturing, clean rooms for production and invest in solar energy.
