AN UPDATE FROM THE CHAIR
In November last year the Board of Dantia underwent a refresh with five directors retiring and six new board members joining, including myself as the new Chair.
Dantia would not be where it is today without the hard work. professionalism and leadership of the Board members as well as the support from people and organisations in our community.
Ten Year Funding Agreement
In May 2021, the Councillors for Lake Macquarie City Council (LMCC) voted unanimously to support Dantia for the next ten years providing us with a funding agreement through to 2032. This funding not only ensures the long-term stability of Dantia, but it establishes a strong foundation for the organisation to enhance its focus to drive jobs, business, and investment.
To align this funding with the needs of our community we will develop a ten-year economic strategy and look forward to engaging with and listening to our stakeholders.
New CEO Appointment
Following the departure of former CEO Peter Francis, we are pleased to have appointed our experienced and knowledgeable Deputy Chair, Katherine O’Regan, as Dantia’s interim CEO. Katherine can be contacted on email@example.com or 0419 411 801.
The Dantia board unanimously supported the departure of our previous CEO and the appointment of Katherine O’Regan as our interim CEO. Each of our board members is committed to and passionate about the sustainable economic development of our beautiful Lake Macquarie region and our decisions are made with this long-term goal front of mind.
On behalf of the Dantia board, we thank you for your continued support. The development of the new economic strategy together with our organisational changes provide us with the opportunity for greater communication and collaboration with key stakeholders such as yourself. We look forward to working with you in this exciting next phase of investment and job creation in Lake Macquarie.
