Dantia is excited to announce that the exhilarating PWC (Personal Watercraft) Race Series has received Development Application approval to join the Lake Mac Big Weekend on the 14th-15th October.
More than 80 professional jet ski riders from across the country will converge on water around Warners Bay, for thrilling endurance and circuit events that will see racing craft reaching speeds of over 150kmh.
Spectators will experience all the adrenalin and excitement of PWC racing over both days of the event, with courses running between Eleebana and Warners Bay. Expert riders will also show off their skills in demonstration displays on Friday 13th October.
Peter Francis, CEO of Dantia, said this is a major coup for the Lake Macquarie business community.
“The addition of the PWC Race Series to this huge spectator weekend will further provide businesses with a unique opportunity to boost their sales from the influx of interstate and broader region visitors who will sleep, eat and recreate in Lake Macquarie over the weekend,” said Mr Francis.
More than 30,000 people flocked to the 2016 Big Weekend, and this years event will see the inclusion of markets, food stalls, entertainment, ‘come and try’ water sports, aerobatic displays, as well as the return of the main attraction; the fourth round of the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships.
To leverage the nationwide interest in the events and allow local businesses an affordable and unique opportunity to be part of the Big Weekend action, Dantia is offering businesses around Lake Macquarie the chance to be part of two unique and powerful promotional initiatives.
In conjunction with Local Business Chambers, Dantia are providing a fully subsidised opportunity for businesses to promote a special offer to the Offshore Superboat visitors via an event app.
To take advantage of this free Economic Development initiative opportunity, businesses can visit dantia.com.au/superboatoffers2017/.
Dantia has also launched an exclusive 200 Club, giving one member the chance to win naming rights for the 2017 Offshore Superboat Championships.
According to Mr Francis, “this offers a unique opportunity for Lake Macquarie businesses to join a co-operative marketing campaign for a major national event with only a modest investment of $550.”
While all members receive benefits for their contributions, 13 businesses will receive premium upgrades to sponsor the boats and 1 business will secure an event naming deal worth $55,000.
Applications can be made online before Monday 4th September and are strictly limited to 200 packages. For more information and a full list of inclusions visit dantia.com.au/200club.
